curling
Curling is the songwriting partnership of Jojo Brandel and Bernie Gelman, two Bay Area natives now separated by over 5000 miles. Their long-distance writing style creates music that is “persistently idiosyncratic without ever sacrificing an ounce of emotional resonance or melodic infectiousness” (Travis Shosa). Drawing from a sonic palette ranging from Big Star and the Beatles to My Bloody Valentine and Jim O’Rourke, Curling’s detailed brand of glittering indie rock swirls into symphonic crescendos, inspiring endless repeats from listeners.
