Joanna Wang

Joanna Wang weaves bits of Americana with baroque pop, rock, punk, video game soundtracks, jazz, and folk into whimsical and irreverent tunes that often approach the themes of innocence and cynicism.

Since releasing her debut album in 2008, she has created a series of distinctive projects over the years, including “The Adventures of Bernie the Schoolboy,” “Galaxy Crisis: The Strangest Midnight Broadcast,” “BOB MUSIC,” “House of Bullies,” “Modern Tragedy,” and most recently, “Hotel La Rut”, which was featured on The Needle Drop’s favorite albums of 2024.

Joining Joanna on this North American tour will be the original recording lineup of “Hotel La Rut”: Bill Athens (bass), Asher Fulero (keys), Peter Knudsen (guitar), Micah Kassell (drums).
