RUMTUM
Producer RUMTUM is a visionary downtempo maestro whose mesmerizing beats are a fusion of world instrument inspirations and echoes of icons like Boozoo Bajou, Kruder & Dorfmeister, and Four Tet. From the earliest days of piecing together a makeshift drum set to buying the first drum machine, all music gear evoked a deep connection and passion for recording and mixing music. RUMTUM's journey kicked off with fruitful collaborations alongside Monster Rally, co-producing full-length LPs like MR&RT and Coasting. Subsequently, signing with Brooklyn-based Bastard Jazz Records in 2019 marked a pivotal moment as RUMTUM released the 4-track EP Mirage, a glimpse into the immersive experience that awaited on the LP Isles in Indigo, featuring intricately crafted ambient loops and saturated synth lines. Embracing new horizons, RUMTUM's latest LP Arcadian Daze, released by the label in 2023, showcases an even deeper exploration of musical dimensions. Currently residing in Denver, RUMTUM relentlessly delves into diverse genres and embraces experimental recording techniques, all while seeking higher consciousness in his musical journey.
