The Joy Formidable

The Joy Formidable step back onto the stage for the first time in two years. These intimate, stripped-back nights offer songs and stories up close and a moment to reconnect before the next chapter unfolds in 2026.

Shy Western

Shy Western is the solo project of Ritzy Bryan (The Joy Formidable). Her debut album and companion book Hugger arrive in January 2026 - a collection that blends music, stories, and science-inspired reflections on our connection with the natural world. Self-produced and deeply personal, it shows a new side of Bryan’s songwriting: intimate, playful, and rooted in the beauty of the wild.

Rhydian Dafydd

Rhydian Dafydd is the co-writer, multi-instrumentalist and co-vocalist of acclaimed Welsh alt-rock trio The Joy Formidable. Known for their dynamic fusion of rock, dream pop and shoegaze, Rhydian now unveils a solo project: an expansive, cinematic exploration of atmosphere, shadow and self. Blending fractured beats with intimate textures, it is a bold multidisciplinary work that merges music and visual art into a strikingly personal statement.
