APE

APE is a six-piece band from San Francisco and the only band in the world that features a live Tiki Carver. APE is anything but conventional. Their instrumentation is a nontraditional mix of steel guitar, ukuleles, baritone and electric guitars, bass, drums and a variety of percussion instruments. Fronted by a man swinging an ax known as ‘Crazy Al,’ their live shows are not to be missed experiences which is why you might find yourself dancing next to someone rather interesting.

DJ Otto Von Stroheim Support

Otto von Stroheim got his Exotica start on now-legendary KXLU Los Angeles radio show The Molotov Cocktail Hour in 1995 playing lost lounge and easy listening Thrift Store records. Radio appearances were not for him and he soon hit the road bringing the music to the people. Otto has made over 1000 DJ appearances at a wide variety of venues and events including private parties, weddings, birthday parties, and art openings. He has DJed at the Derby Los Feliz, The Beauty Bar, Urban Outfitters SF, Bimbos 365 Club, Trader Vic's Emeryville, The Tonga Room (on the boat), and has a residency at Forbidden Island, first Thursdays since 2009.
