- Cafe du Nord has its own street door on Market St, two doors down from the Hall entrance, under the red neon sign. A staircase takes you down to the room.

Since 1907
Cafe du Nord has been continuously operating at the Swedish American Hall building since 1907. From a billiards club to Prohibition-era speakeasy to restaurant to cabaret club to storied music venue, Cafe du Nord has earned its place as a historic San Francisco Landmark and Legacy Business. Fun fact: the red neon sign over the door is a protected landmark feature.
