Fai Laci

Rising alternative Boston rock band Fai Laci have unveiled their debut album, Elephant In The Room, arriving on Friday, June 26, via Easy Eye Sound. Pre-orders/pre-saves are available now. Produced by Dan Auerbach at his Easy Eye Sound Studios in Nashville, Elephant In The Room is heralded by the brand new single, “Elephant,” available everywhere now alongside an official music video premiering today on YouTube.

Elephant In The Room now sees Fai Laci blending the urgency of punk and the stomp of glam with the theatricality of classic rock, all bound together by the band’s sharp swagger and Luke Faillaci’s boundless charisma. The album includes such bangers as the decadent “Sarasota” and the jittery new wave “Headlights,” each a showcase for their inventive guitars and nimble rhythm section. Confident and surprisingly diverse, with brazen rockers and bruised-heart ballads, Elephant In The Room instantly catapults Fai Laci to the forefront of alternative rock and beyond.

“We never set out to make a certain kind of sound,” says Faillaci. “It takes us wherever it takes us. We got more into the rock side of things on the album, but we also wanted to have some really beautiful songs on it. We wanted to have something for everybody.”

Trestles Support

Trestles is a surf/psych outfit from Santa Cruz, California. Formed in 2021, the band has spent the last several years developing a sound based in 1960’s west coast garage rock tradition. From their early days as a fresh faced college rock band to their more recent years as bonafide 60s garage revivalists, the band has consistently been rooted in the culture of Santa Cruz.

With their own take on a 60’s surf/garage revival sound, Trestles’ current day sound is the byproduct of shared time studying and obsessing over the history of music recording arts at the local community college. The band’s attitude about “...what makes guitar bands worth anything in the age of infinitely accessible stimulation,” seems to be Trestles’ only traceable ethos. Seeing the current landscape of independent music projects as “...a bunch of short-form theatre acts,” the band’s only goal is to do what they feel is actually worth doing, and to do it well.
