Tom Hamilton (of American Babies)
Rock
“When you're in a van on the road for 20 years, you live in your bubble, you think that your world is one way — and it's not. The pandemic break gave me the time to see that. Then my band broke up and my dad got sick. The only refuge I had was the studio.”
“It takes effort to not just be jaded as we age — to not look at the world in a hardened way,” Hamilton says. “Yeah, it's a dark, dark fucking time, let's make some lemonade.”
His album I’m Your Vampire co-produced by Hamilton and Alex Farrar (MJ Lenderman/Wednesday) is out now via AWAL/Relix.

Eric Silverman conjures high desert spirits on latest LP. Stay In It feels equally at home in 2023 as it might in 1972, evidenced by nods to After The Gold Rush-era Neil Young, Jonathan Wilson, and The War on Drugs. The singer-songwriter trucked Jerry Garcia’s old console to the desert to embrace the analog. The album takes a journey, ranging from canyon sounds of Topanga to cosmic freakouts featuring Adam Macdougall (Black Crowes, Circles Around The Sun), Stay In It is a natural evolution of Silverman’s 2019 solo debut EP, Rookie, with an expanded sonic palette and the most earnest songwriting from Silverman to date. Stay In It will be released May 12th 2023 on Curation Records.
