Noise Pop and Civic Joy Fund’s Summer of Music happening on September 30 bringing musicians of all styles and genres from around The Bay Area to perform outside local businesses throughout six neighborhoods across the city all summer long.

Authored by California State Senator Anna Caballero, SB 785 is a NIVA CA supported bill that will help prevent and illegalize deceptive and predatory practices with regard to ticket resale. If the bill passes it will effectively;

  • Ban speculative ticketing.
  • Increase fines for the utilization of bots.
  • Make deceptive urls and fake ticketing websites illegal.
  • Require resellers to disclose the original face value of a ticket.
  • Make the duplicate resale of a single ticket illegal.
  • Require resellers to prominently display they are a resale marketplace.
  • Penalizes resellers for the misrepresentation of what the ticket provides.
