Join One Found Sound for Waveform, an electrifying evening of live classical music like you’ve never seen before.

Opening with the West Coast premiere of Sam Wu’s flowing work Hydrosphere, Waveform sails along to Ruth Gipps’s mid-century Modern masterpiece Seascape before concluding with Ludwig van Beethoven’s monumental Third Symphony.

Sit up close, relax, and enjoy all of the powerfully moving sounds that a full orchestra has to offer. One Found Sound performs without a conductor, and all of our artistic decisions are made democratically by our musicians.

One Found Sound

This is not your typical classical music experience!

One Found Sound is a democratic orchestra committed to making classical music a barrier-free space. The Bay Area’s only conductorless, musician-run orchestra, we realize this goal through innovative performances, artistic collaborations, educational workshops, and new music initiatives that focus on the commission and performance of works by diverse peoples.

Operating without a conductor or single artistic director, our creative vision is placed entirely in the hands of our artists: all artistic decisions—from the length of a single note to our programming each season—are made democratically to bring you exciting and truly collaborative performances.

One Found Sound performs in unexpected spaces where you are invited to sit closely and experience the music just as it inspires you. OFS always performs without a conductor, and without the traditional barriers of the concert hall, we are able to share incredible music with you closely and personally.  And please stay and say hi to us after our shows!
